Squires Family Road Trip 2010 Day 9

Well we are back on the road. Our first stop was at the Locks and Dams of the Mississippi. This was an interesting place. We learned how they control the Mississippi and allow those huge freight barges float the river. The kids goofing off at the visitor center. Shaelyn is whipping the boys into shape and making sure they keep supplying air to the imaginary diver.
Well I am not sure how many states this makes it, but we crossed into Wisconsin today.

While in Wisconsin we stopped in a candy shop in Barabou. As you can see the theme was cows. They had really good chocolate. They even had a lot of it themed with cows. For example you could buy a cow patty or utter fingers if you wanted. It was a fun little pit stop.
Well we made it into our second state of the day. As soon as we finished taking this picture it started to rain and didn't stop until we mad it into Chicago. I must say I am still getting adjusted to the driving on some of these freeways.
We can now officially say we have rode on the "L" in Chicago. It was an interesting experience to say the least. Especially when we rode it back at 11 o'clock at night.
Well we made it to one of our most highly anticipated activities on this road trip, yep you guessed it the Chicago Cubs game. We just happened to pick one of the best games of the series between the Cubs and Sox. It was a little boring at first but picked up in the later innings and was really good when the Cubs won by one run. The fans were hilarious and crazy! It was a really fun night. Below is a picture of the kids with the Harry Carrey statue in front of the park.
Sorry I picked the blurry picture below but I am not going to change it. That picture is of the Stanley Cup and Chicago Blackhawks who won the Stanley Cup on Wednesday. they introduced them at the start of the game and even at the Cup throw the first pitch. The fans were going nuts for the entire time (15 minutes).
A picture of the family at Wrigley Field!
