Things that Have taken place since the last blog!

Spencer: He had a great Christmas. He received an electronic drum set and a game chair. We love it because the drum set has a volume control! He went sledding several times over the break. He celebrated New Year's Eve with his Aunt Jackie in Richfield. Spencer has been really busy in school now. He has been trying to figure out a project to do with a motor for his science class. This week he is going to be wrestling in a very big tournament in Richfield.

Shaelyn: I believe she had a great Christmas as well. She received a digital camera and some other toys. Shaelyn being the little dare-devil recorded the most air while jumping the sleds over the break. She went over to Richfield to celebrate New Year's Eve with her Aunt Jackie. She has really been working hard on her math facts in school. Shaelyn is currently in gymnastics, singing, and volleyball. We barley see her anymore.

Jayden: He had a rough Christmas break, mainly because he had all that time to try and keep his weight down for wrestling. Jayden is wrestling at 112 pounds for San Juan High this year. He is ranked fifth in the state. He continues to have his ups and downs as a Freshman. I continue to be very impressed and proud of him. He received an Ipod Nano for Christmas and some new headgear. He stayed and celebrated New Year's Eve with his Grandma Sparling and Aunt Bernita. He received very good grades last quarter and seems to be working even harder this quarter.

Tammy and JJ: We had a great break. We received a lot of cool gifts from our wonderful kids. We enjoyed sledding with the kids and playing games with them. We recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We went on a four day cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had a blast!!!!

Family

I look at things right now in my life and I am very thankful for my family. We should all be very thankful that we have family in our lives. Yes we have friends and co-workers that help us in our daily lives, but they cannot compare to those that we live with and share a common bond with. Family members are there to make you smile even when you feel like you can't. Only family can pick you up off the floor in that special way and dust you off. I love you guys!!!!

Jayden was able to kill his cow elk yesterday. It was a very big cow. Jayden has his first high school wrestling match this weekend. Spencer is having a blast being a big fifth grader. He continues to grow day after day. Tammy continues to work and go to school. She is very happy that the Broncos won on Thursday. She also had fun on Black Friday.

November

JJ- Well I was unsuccessful in capturing a deer. Oh well I have been plenty busy cutting one up anyways. I am kind of glad I am not having to do two. I had incredible hunt with my two boys this year! My Junior High team is doing well. We have had several placers each weekend. We have a free weekend this week that I am looking forward too. I would like to be going to Cedar to watch the high school team in the playoffs, but "we" decided to stay home and work on the yard and house.

Tammy- I believe she is the top student in both of her classes right now. She is enjoying doing the classes you are suppose to start with at the end. I now understand why she was so frustrated at the beginning. She was starting with the ending classes. Last week she successfully planned and executed a retreat for her company. She is a very creative woman. You should ask her for the details of her retreat.

Jayden- He is still hobbling around a little bit, but is doing a lot better. He was successful in his hunt. It is an amazing story and he should probably tell it, not me. I believe it was an experience that he will never forget. He seems to be enjoying high school.

Spencer- His football team ended up the season with only one loss and was able to beat that team in a rematch. He played offensive line and defensive corner. He continues to pester his sister on a daily basis.

Shaelyn- Continues to participate in gymnastics and singing. She has recently became a proud owner of a chihuahua named Chloe. they are inseparable. Shaelyn will also be going to her cousins birthday party this weekend in Richfield.

October Updates

JJ- Has just started coaching Jr. High wrestling. He is also currently trying to kill a deer this week. Him and the boys just got done camping for three days up on the mountain and had a blast.

Tammy- Is still attending two classes a week and working full time. She has been up North twice this month. Her and Shaelyn attended Uncle Kent's 70th birthday party last week. She is very happy with how the Denver Broncos are doing right now.

Jayden- Was able to get his cast off this month and also got clearance to start wrestling when it begins in November. He recently got home from an FBLA trip up to Provo. He successfully finished his first quarter of high school and received decent grades.

Spencer- Has his last football game tonight. His team has only lost one game all season. He is enjoying fifth grade.

Shaelyn- Is very busy these days. She is in a singing class and also has her gymnastics class every week. She really enjoyed her "girls weekend" with mom.

Trying to create good habits

I was visiting a blog to learn information about my future mother-in-law and decided it might be a good idea to try and start keeping family that I do not communicate very often with up to date on what is occurring in my families lives. So stay tuned and hopefully I will keep this up to date.
