Day 1

Well we left around 5pm from Blanding. A little later than we would have liked, but not to bad. The trip up to Orem went really well. The kids investigated the activity books Tammy made them for the trip. They even played a couple of games out of them. We arrived in Orem around 9pm. We went to Smith's and bought ice cream, it was yummy!

I will give a little info on what the upcoming plans are just in case I can't get onto the net the next couple of days. Tomorrow we are meeting Margo and David for brunch in Tremonton. Then we are off to the Grand Tetons to find a camping spot. The next morning is our river trip. More info to come later.

The beginning of the Squires road trip 2010

Well if you haven't heard yet, we are going on a 4,500 mile road trip this summer. This trip begins this afternoon. We have a lot of packing to do still. I plan on trying to write on here as much as possible to document this adventure. Stay tuned if you want to know what we are doing over the next two weeks.

Spencer Breaking His Nose

Well last Week Spencer broke his nose playing baseball. It was a pretty good break. We had to take him up north and he had Surgery on Tuesday. He seems just fine now. He played a little bit in his game last night and then was promoted from 5th grade today.

Weekend Camping Trip

We went camping at Cottonwood last weekend. We only went for one night, but we had a blast. After we were set up on Saturday, the kids played in the water. Before dinner we went on a beautiful fourwheeler ride over to Comb Ridge. It took us a little while and we had to eat dinner a little late, but it was worth it. The kids seemed to enjoy the BBQ pineapple we had. We then played in the water and played games for the rest of the night. The trailer did awesome throughout the night keeping the girls warm. Me on the other hand roasted a little bit.
Sunday morning was relaxing. We sat by the stream and ate breakfast. the rest of the day consisted of dam building fourwheeler rides and then the dreaded clean-up.

Well Tammy graduated last Friday. I am so happy for her and proud too. I can't believe all the work she did to get her degree.

March

JJ- I have been busy with school like usual. I went on my boy's trip over Spring Break! I had a blast! I was able to spend time with my son and a friend watching the sport I love. I can't even begin to explain how much fun it was. I had a very memorable moment went I met my childhood role model (sports). His name is Kenny Monday. I remeber watching this man win an Olympic gold medal when I was twelve years old. This encounter made my day and week.

Tammy- She has been really busy with school, work and dealing with all of us troublemakers. She graduates this summer! She will be walking on May 14th. If you want more information please contact me. I believe it is a great accomplishment, considering all the things she has to do and deal with.

Jayden- I beleive Jayden had a lot of fun on our boy's trip. He slept most of the way to Omaha, but tried to stay awake and keep his dad company. He has started track. He seems to enjoy the practices and people. His goals for this quarter is to get straight A's.

Spencer- He continues to improve in wrestling. He amazes me with how well he works on bottom. He brings a lot of intensity to his matches. He is an emotional kid, if you didn't know that already. He seems to enjoy school, but he really wants to get promoted from 5th grade and come up to the Middle School.

Shaelyn- Had a great volleyball season. She is a pretty dang good player if you ask me. She did sprain her thumb pretty bad the last week of the season though. She is doing fine now and continues gymnastics and singing class. She also loves cheering on her brother during wrestling. She made me smile when she started warming him up this weekend.

Sports!!!!

Jayden- Has finished up his first year of high school wrestling. I believe it was a challenging year for him, but I believe he learned a lot. He did qualify for state as a freshman. He plans on running the 2 mile for track in the Spring.

Spencer- Is now starting his wrestling season. He had his first practice yesterday. He continues to love wrestling.

Shaelyn- Is trying to be the one with the most things going on in their lives. Along with her gymnastics and singing, she has now added volleyball to the list. She had her first tournament last Saturday in Monticello. I thought she did really well, especially for her first time ever.

Upcoming Events- Shaelyn has a volleyball tournament in Blanding on Saturday at 9am.
